St Mawes Dental offers patients three different fee structures.

Click on a link below for more info...

We are not currently accepting NHS patients, we only have a small contract for non-fee-paying patients and this is full to capacity and has been for several years.

We have introduced a dental membership plan to reward and look after our patients who visit the practice regularly. Just look at what you can gain from becoming a member!

Denplan Care is a really easy way to spread the cost of all of your routine treatment into affordable monthly payments, reducing the chance of receiving unexpected dental bills. This plan will cover your regular check-ups and hygiene visits with your dental team, as well as any restorative treatment you may need. As with all our plans, Denplan Care also includes worldwide dental injury and dental emergency (Denplan Supplementary Insurance).

These fees are reviewed on 1st March and 1st September every year.

St Mawes Dental is only able to treat a small number of the patients under NHS arrangements. We are currently unable to accept any new NHS patients. NHS funding is removed for patients who fail to attend an appointment or have not attended within the last 12 months. This will result in removal from the NHS register at St Mawes Dental. These patients will be offered the option to be added to the NHS waiting list or to be seen privately. Our appointment cancellation policy can be read here.

If you would to join the waiting list, please call NHS 111 to be added.

The charge you pay depends on the treatment you need to keep your mouth, teeth and gums healthy. You will only ever be asked to pay one charge for each complete course of treatment, even if you need to visit your dentist more than once to finish it – either Band 1, Band 2 or Band 3 (see below). If you have to be referred to another dentist for another, separate course of treatment, you can expect a second charge.

Band 1 course of treatment: £23.80

This covers an examination, diagnosis (eg X-rays), advice on how to prevent future problems, a scale and polish if needed, and application of fluoride varnish or fissure sealant.

Band 2 course of treatment: £65.20

This covers everything listed in Band 1 above, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or if your dentist needs to take out one or more of your teeth.

Band 3 course of treatment: £282.80

This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2 above, plus crowns, dentures and bridges.
