Wednesday 8th July 2020
We have been open, treating patients since 1st July 2020.
Priority is given to patients who were mid-treatment at lockdown or who are overdue their routine appointments.
Due to the vulnerable demographic of our patients and the close proximity in which we work, we will be employing FULL PPE at all times and helping patients adhere to social distancing advice.
Please read our Reopening Policy here
Please be patient when calling as our staff are very busy and working hard to ensure everyone's safety.

ST MAWES DENTAL
Your dental health in exceptional hands
St Mawes Dental is one of Cornwall’s longest established private dental practices. We have gained the reputation of being a leader in the provision of advanced restorative dentistry and cosmetic dentistry in the South West.
Established in 1988, Roger Metcalfe, St Mawes Dental has since been handed over to Nina Khaira, a talented award-winning dentist with advanced skills. She has since continued treating and caring for patients living on The Roseland Penninsula, Truro, Tregony, Veryan, Probus, Mevagissey and St Austell areas to the highest standards. Patients regularly visit us from Falmouth, Penryn, Helston, Bodmin and even Penzance
Nina is one of the most highly qualified general dentists in the South West and, as a dentist with a special interest in advanced restorative and aesthetic dentistry, holds a referral clinic twice a month at the only specialist centre in Cornwall. Her Masters Degree in Aesthetic Dentistry makes her Cornwall's only true Cosmetic Dentist.
With assistance of an extremely skilled team, we are excited to announce that we are the only family dental practice in Cornwall that exclusively employs dentists who are trained to a minimum of Masters level.
We invest appropriate time in our patients in order to guarantee the best possible care, customer service as well as clinical standards, and that starts with getting to know you properly.

Reducing our impact on the environment
At St Mawes Dental, we believe we can work together to preserve the resources of the planet, use products and materials which respect the environment and contribute to environmental protection above and beyond our operation.
We aim to be an 'amalgam-free' practice and are committed to lower the environmental impact from the use of industrial mercury, which is a constituent of dental amalgam fillings.
SAFE USE & DISPOSAL OF CHEMICALS
We have special equipment such as safe filters in our suction and waste pipes to minimise our patient's exposure to mercury when old dental metal fillings have to be taken out.
In every area of our practice we have embraced the latest technology and installed the latest heating, insulation and energy recycling processes to significantly lower the energy consumption of the practice.
Our post code is TR2 5UJ.
We are located in the heart of St Mawes, located in the popular Beach Hall building, next door to The Watch House restaurant, in front of the harbour wall.
From Truro, St Mawes is accessible using the King Harry Ferry or by driving via Tresillian and Tregony.
From St Austell, take the A390 towards Truro and turn left towards Tregony and St Mawes.
Following the road into St Mawes, follow the road (and the curves) and the it will take you along the beach front into the village.
From Falmouth and Penryn, the St Mawes Ferry runs regular services to St Mawes. We are a short distance from the landing point.
There is a public car park behind the practice and another by the harbour. These are pay and display car parks.
There are a limited number of 30 minute short stay bays in front of the practice.
Disabled badge holders are able to stop in front of the practice. Please advise us if you need a ramp to aid access.
